This policy outlines Walker Painting's deposit requirements, payment schedule, and related terms for all residential painting services in Nova Scotia. By accepting a written quote, clients agree to the terms below.

Section 01

Deposit Requirements

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm and reserve your project date:

Under $500	Full payment upfront	Before work begins
$500 – $1,499	25% of total	Upon quote acceptance
$1,500 – $4,999	30% of total	Upon quote acceptance
$5,000 and above	35% of total	Upon quote acceptance

Your start date is not confirmed until the deposit is received. Walker Painting reserves the right to release your date if deposit is not received within 5 business days.

Payment Schedule

Single-day jobs: Deposit collected upfront; balance due upon completion that day.

Section 04

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Client cancellation: Deposits are non-refundable.

Rescheduling: Allowed with minimum 72 hours notice at no penalty. Less than 72 hours may incur a fee up to $75.

Walker Painting changes: Client notified immediately; deposit fully transferable.

Section 05

Late Payments

Final balances due day of completion. After 7 calendar days, a 2% per month late fee applies. Warranty withheld until full payment received.

Section 06

Scope Changes

All scope changes must be confirmed in writing (text or email) before work proceeds. Verbal agreements are not binding.

Section 07

Warranty & Touch-Ups

A 30-day workmanship warranty covers missed spots, drips, or uneven coverage. Does not cover client damage or moisture issues. Available only once all payments received.
